Our Family Gathering – Regional United Methodists Working Toward Full LGBT Inclusion

August 16-18 – one evening, one full day and one morning– people from three area United Methodist conferences will come together at a local church for the purpose of advancing LGBT inclusion in the denomination. The Kansas East, Kansas West and Nebraska Conferences will be represented at Asbury United Methodist for “Our Family Gathering.”
Although the conference reports are Methodist-specific, the general public is invited to attend the workshops, inspiring messages and music presentations. Thursday and Friday night's events are free.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Asbury. It is especially important that organizers have a head-count for Friday&#039

Bradley Osborn

Brad has been writing for Camp since 2004. His beat is mostly local features and general LGBT news. Common topics have included youth, faith and community.

Although he holds an M.A. in journalism, he primarily considers himself to be a chemist, having studied and worked in biochemistry, quantitative analysis, quality assurance and the production of educational science texts.

He’s laconic, unintentionally enigmatic and often facetious. He enjoys irony, as well as things – but not animals, apparently – that are simultaneously beautiful and utilitarian. He and his cat, Charlie Parker, reside in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
