KC Lesbian Events – Connections: How They Met

The question of the hour: How do you meet somebody in Kansas City without a lesbian bar? We polled a variety of age groups for insight into how the modern Kansas City lesbian found or would go about finding a partner.
Lydia, 25: “I met my girlfriend through a group of mutual friends. If I was single, I would probably use OKC to meet people. I try to always remain optimistic about meeting someone organically in person (my first preference), but OKCupid is just so convenient. Life is hectic, and it can be hard to get out and meet people. With online dating, the intention is made clear from the beginning.”
Jennifer, 28: “I swiped right on Tinder. We were both out in Westport and only a couple doors down from each other. We met on the sidewalk and hung out the rest of the night. I never thought I would meet anybody from an app!”
