KC Lesbian Events – A Winning Slogan for KC Pridefest

The Kansas City Diversity Coalition, presenters of the Kansas City PrideFest, held an online contest to determine the slogan for PrideFest 2017. The suggested slogans were narrowed down to the top three and then voted on by the community. The winning slogan, submitted by Michael West, is: “Stand Up, Stand Out, Stand Proud.”

West elaborated: “In the spirit of Stonewall – Stand Up for our rights and freedoms, Stand Out and let the world see us and Stand Proud of who we are and what we have achieved!”

The Kansas City PrideFest will take place June 2-4, 2017, in Berkley Riverfront Park.
